We’re thrilled to announce our latest tenant to sign on to open at Sylvan | Thirty – Sync Yoga & Wellbeing. You may already know them as the Oak Cliff husband-and-wife team who have a studio in Bishop Arts. They’re expanding their business and will be setting up shop on the second floor of the building right at the intersection of Fort Worth and Sylvan Avenues.
But, wait, there’s more! One of the coolest parts about their studio is going to be the rooftop deck with beautiful views of downtown Dallas. Can’t you just imagine sunrise yoga up there?!
Here’s the official press release with more details:
Sync Yoga To Open at Sylvan | Thirty
Locally-owned yoga and wellbeing studio to open studio and rooftop yoga deck at the North Oak Cliff/West Dallas mixed-use development
Dallas, July 27, 2012 – Locally-owned Sync Yoga & Wellbeing has signed a lease for a 2,000 square-foot studio and rooftop deck at Sylvan | Thirty, the highly anticipated mixed-use development planned for the crossroads of North Oak Cliff and West Dallas. Sync Yoga will occupy the second floor of the two-story building facing the intersection of Sylvan and Fort Worth Avenues. In addition to its interior space, the yoga studio will have sunrise and sunset yoga sessions on its rooftop deck with unobstructed views of downtown.
Founded in 2011 by Oak Cliff husband-and-wife team Jennifer Lawson and Charles Gaby, Sync Yoga currently has a studio in the Bishop Arts District.
“My husband, Charles, and I hang out at Bar Belmont quite a bit, and we kept wondering what was going to happen across the way. As we started seeing and hearing about Sylvan | Thirty, we decided to find out more about it. With organic options like Cox Farms Market right there and all of the other exciting plans, it just felt right for us,” said Lawson. “Since we took over the yoga studio in Bishop Arts last fall, we’ve seen tremendous growth and have made some wonderful friends. We look forward to continuing to expand this circle as part of Sylvan | Thirty.”
“Sync is a great fit for the healthy lifestyle tenants that we’re seeking for Sylvan | Thirty. It’s going to be amazing to be able to take in a yoga workout and then walk to one of the specialty food stores for groceries,” said Brent Jackson, president of Sylvan | Thirty developer Oaxaca Interests. “And the fact that they’re a local, Oak Cliff couple just makes the fit even better.”
“I must admit, rooftop sunrise and sunset yoga and the views of the Dallas skyline sound fantastic! But we’re just as excited to expand our programming with the larger space,” Lawson added.
Sync Yoga & Wellbeing is the fifth tenant at Sylvan | Thirty to be announced. Other announced businesses include farm-fresh grocer Cox Farms Market, artisan butcher and wine shop Matador Meat & Wine, locally-owned coffee shop Pearl Cup Coffee and a culinary incubator, which will be overseen by chef Sharon Hage.
