Construction & Leasing Update

Now that we have the zoning and TIF behind us, we’ve heard the rally cries from the neighborhood and supporters, “When is the dirt going to fly?”  Here’s a quick update about our anticipated construction timelines and some leasing news:

We’re now on track to break ground early summer, which means you’ll be seeing construction activity by late July. We’ll keep you posted on the ceremonial groundbreaking. Consider yourself invited!

We continue to vet incoming letters of intent by local food artisans and restaurants looking to set up shop at Sylvan | Thirty. We have been working with a select group of interested tenants, including a baker, confectioner, a fishmonger and a number of convenience tenants like a yoga studio. There are also three diverse restaurant concepts in the works as well. Bringing them all to Sylvan | Thirty would culminate in the development becoming 75 percent leased before we even start construction. Once the buildings start to go up, we’ll be working on securing additional retail tenants, including a local bank, a dry cleaner and other conveniences.

As you may remember, we’ve already announced that Cox Farms Market, The Pearl Cup coffeeshop, Matador Meat & Wine and a culinary incubator have already committed to opening at Sylvan | Thirty.

Our new projected project completion date is about this time next year (Spring 2013).
